 Our Philosophy

Our Integrated Family Medicine clinic is built on a belief that our patients will improve their health much faster by taking an active role and learning more about their health and that of their family. PHSC focuses on prevention & early detection, in addition to providing options of natural and holistic treatments to the most common health conditions. This approach allows patients to take an active, conscious role in their own health care; pro actively stopping disease before it starts and often eliminate the life-long dependence on medications that so many people are trying to escape. This concept is so effective and efficient, it normally produces much faster and safer results than typical conventional medicine treatments, without the harsh side effects.

Our Physicals, Lab Work and Diagnostics

Many of the patients that seek us out are in need of more in-depth lab work related to their situation. We have the ability to do many complex panels of lab work on-site, including: male and female hormone panels, in-depth Thyroid testing, Vitamin level testing, Food Allergy testing and Saliva kit testing. All of these tests allow us to discover more dynamics and signals that the body is communicating and many times can lead to finding the root cause of a problem; not just being distracted by and treating symptoms.  Our practice is one of the only Independent Primary Care clinics in Des Moines to have a complex on-site laboratory and a digital x-ray system.This allows us to provide much quicker diagnostic results and directly contributes to thorough patient education and expediting treatment solutions when needed most. In addition, our clinic is different in its focus on patient relationships and developing close care with families.We allow more time for doctor appointments in order to educate  and offer a full set of solutions to remedy current health conditions as well as a plan for preventative measures after healing. All the while we allow same day appointments for emergencies.
